Busy week? I know life can sometimes be chaotic—working strenuous hours and dealing with your spouse and children. But we must not forget about time with our Heavenly Father. Some of you reading this may need help understanding why it is necessary to read the Bible every day, and I am here to tell you its importance. You must understand its significance whether you read, listen, or annotate it. The Holy Bible is more than a book. It is more than ink on pages. It is God's Word. The Bible says in John 1:1 – "In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God, and The Word was God." God is His Word and promises. Our Heavenly Father gifted His Word to us. He wanted to ensure we all had His Word to live by. He wants His children to understand who He is. I'll use this as an example: You may be very close with someone, maybe a relative, spouse, or friend. You typically know their interests when you develop a close connection with them. You know their goals, hobbies, favorite color, favorite movie, and even their favorite ice cream flavor. You've become accustomed to their personality as well. When you read God's Word, you are developing a relationship with Him. You are learning about Him and understanding who He is. You start to embody the ways of Christ in your daily life. The Word is filled with encouragement and direction. It improves our quality of life through its miraculous freeing ability and indescribable peace in the text. If we lacked this beautiful gift, we would all be left astray. We would all be without understanding and truth. The world would be in even worse conditions than it is now. Everything we need to know is in Our Father's Word. If you feel lost and need direction or alone, read the Bible, and you will learn that you are never alone! You will see just how loved you are by the Most High! You will realize how important you are, too! I highly recommend investing in a Bible or downloading a Bible app if you don't have it. It will be the best decision you've ever made!
